The acai berry is one of the most popular health supplements around. It has even become a popular flavor in some healthy beverages. Don’t be fooled into thinking a drink is full of acai berry goodness just because it has the name on the bottle. My acai berry juice review is going to cover what I think is the best product and also review a couple other products that are commonly seen in the grocery store.

One of the key things to look at is the antioxidant content of the juice. Antioxidants are measured in orac units. I will compare the orac value of the two main acai berry juices in the reviews below.

There are quite a few other products out there. Most of them fall into the category of juice blends like the second product I review or juices that use the acai berry for flavoring and name recognition like the third product I review.

Acai Berry Juice Reviews

Amazon Thunder

Amazon Thunder is one of the leading pure acai berry juice suppliers. They also carry a powder and capsule form. If you buy the acai berry puree, you get a 32 ounce bottle. The serving size is one ounce and it is easy to just pour it into a shot glass and drink it down. Amazon Thunder puree has 3,300 orac units per 1 ounce serving. The price is usually around $1 US per serving.

Amazon Thunder harvests acai berries in a sustainable manner and donates a percentage to the SOS Amazon Fund which supports the local people as well as protects the rain forest. Their products are certified organic and kosher. You can truly feel good about buying from a company that is so dedicated to quality and preservation of the environment.

Genesis Today

Another common acai berry juice is made by Genesis Today. It is a juice blend that includes other juices as well in addition to acai. Because of the mixed juices a serving size is 8 ounces instead of 1 for Amazon Thunder. This juice blend has 2,400 orac units per serving. You can check out their website by clicking here to verify.

This comes in a large 64 ounce bottle as well as a small 10 ounce bottle designed to be a single serving (it is really 1.25 servings because the serving size is 8 ounces). Per serving, it costs about the same as Amazon Thunder but has almost 1,000 orac less than the pure organic puree.

There are several products that are very similar to this. I chose this one because they had very good information on the website and I have seen it at my local grocery store.

V8 Fusion

The third juice for my acai berry juice reviews is V8 Fusion Acai Mixed Berry. This juice is really tasty, but doesn’t really have any specific benefits from the acai berry. It does have the equivalent of 1/2 a cup of fruits and 1/2 a cup of vegetables, but nothing extraordinary.

There isn’t any information on orac value that I can find. This is a nice healthy drink, but not an acai berry supplement by any means.

I highly recommend you stick with the pure acai berry puree from Amazon Thunder. It is the highest quality and costs the same as other juice blends that don’t offer as much benefit. Just look at the orac value comparison and see how much better Amazon Thunder is.
