Endometriosis : global forum for news and information in endometriosis
Endometriosis affects 1 out of every 10 women in the United States. Some of its symptomes include back pain, cramps, infertility, heavy bleeding, pain during intercourse, bowel movements and even urination.
Endometriosis is when the uterine tissue builds up on the fallopian tube, the external surface of the uterus and/or the ovaries.
Thankfully there are treatments available. One prescription that doctors are giving out is for letrozole (the brand name is Femara). It's usually used to stop breast cancer from reoccuring but is showing promise in treating endometriosis.
